For Lily's birthday this year Erin made Lily's dream of bacon cupcakes finally come true! She mentioned that her boyfriend makes her pancakes with a little bacon suprise sometimes so the flavor of the cake batter was blueberry pancake with chunks of applewood smoked bacon fired to a crisp! Topped with a maple buttercream and sprinkled with more bacon bits, these cupcakes were a true homage to one of Lily's favorites Paula Dean! This truly called for handmade paper cupcake toppers in her likeness!

Also a hit at the party were gluten free chocolate mint chip cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and adorned with toppers of the lovely and hilarious Amy Sedaris, who makes a mean cupcake!

We Made these Cupcakes for a Second Annual Chicken Wing Cooking Competition! These wedding mocha, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry cupcakes were all Vegan!! They featured our "better cream" frosting as well as dairy-free "cream cheese" frosting!

The cupcakes feature the bride and grooms initials as well as a tree which was based on their wedding invitations.

The symbol of two trees growing entwined together was represented on the Giant Cupcake Cake made form fondant and piped icing.

The beautiful brunch reception took place under one of the oldest flowering ginko trees in north america! How fitting!

Hello out there in Cupcake Wonderland!

Lily and Erin here with some sweet May salutations!

The sun is out & the flowers are blooming! All the delicious spring treats are appearing in markets everywhere! Two of our favorites are strawberries and rhubarb!

This month we are featuring Strawberry Rhubarb Pie cupcake! This is a graham cracker crumble cake with a delicious Strawberry Rhubarb filling. We top it off with a fluffy and light Strawberry Whipped Cream topping and garnish with a berry!

Here's a little of what A Cupcake Wonderland has been up to lately!

Last Saturday, ACW participated in Russel Byers Charter School fundraiser carnival! It was an amazing event with some many great families! What a wonderful school. We featured a Make-Your-Own cupcake stand and raffled of a free dozen!

Tonight ACW cupcakes are being featured at Dupree Art Gallery for first friday. The gallery is one of many on "the Pig Crawl" for the Adopt-A-Pig charity event! Local artists have created piggy banks to collect change, all of which will be donated to foundations that fight cancer. We are happy that our cakes can help a cause!

We made these cupcakes for an adorable 7 year olds Ballerina Birthday Party! The birthday girls younger sister is allergic to dairy and one of her friends also has a peanut allergy so we made them dairy & Peanut free using our vegan "Bettercream" icing! AnQi (the birthday girl) is not a fan of icing herself so we made her 2 "naked cakes" these cakes had a fondant top that was easily removable so she could just eat the cake, which we colored pink and purple! ( the "naked cakes" are the "Happy Birthday" and "AnQi" cakes) We decorated the rest of the cakes with ballet slipper, tutus, dancing ballerinas and of course some tiaras!
